Apple vs Adobe, round two. Fight!

Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe, sits down with Wall Street Journal’s Alan Murray and get back at Steve Jobs. Way to go champ!

I’m not gonna lie, i don’t like Apple that much lately (i mean even less than usual), that’s kinda sad because they offer some good products, too bad they are overpriced and seriously locked to Apple’s pipeline. The exclusion of Flash from the iPhone OS is just an other example of that.

They trying to lock everybody in their own closed environment where they control everything, from the machine to the music you buy on the platform they decide at the price they decide. And the end user is not the only one to suffer from that, developers, artists, everybody loses on this system, being forced to use a technology or a platform to sell your creations, if the Gestapple approves it, is just not the way to go, and way out of the “open” spirit that Steve Jobs tried to bring up in his open letter yesterday.

Steve Jobs doesn’t believe in cross-platform, in fact he probably hates it, because it gets everything out of the hands of Apple, hurting their business model, that’s an understandable reaction. But Apple should be careful, as dumb as the basic end user can be, there is people out there ready to fight for the liberty of choosing whatever platform they want to program, make music, sell their creations, and those people have the power to hurt Apple where it hurts: the wallet.
