I Work In Porn
So, that’s said. Let me introduce myself a little bit as we gonna be involved in some serious shit around here.
Like I just said, I work in the porn industry, I am the proud Lead Developer of Pornhub.com, been working in the industry for 3 years now. I started playing with Web technology 7 years ago, was a teenager bored by school, I had a computer, a brand new DSL connection, and a huge crush on it.
In my journey on the Web, I played with the usual suspects, PHP (a lot, our relationship is now in an advanced stage), HTML/CSS, Flash and a little bit with the other toys laying down on the floor (Python, Ruby and .NET). In some lost moments, after a fight usually, I cheated with some more software based technology, C, C#, Java, some Basic here and there, but always with an eye on my beloved Web.
I, and some people (the crazy ones), consider myself as a rather good programmer, and being involved in something huge - insert easy porn joke here -, I thought I could may be share some of it. So make yourself at home, and you’ll be in for some talks, from PHP to MySQL, making some refuel for Memcached, Sphinx and anything I tried and enjoyed using.
So here we are, feel free to ask questions, to ask me who the fuck I think i am. As a side note, I am French from France, working in Canada, so if English doesn’t work so well, try French.
